The Old School was built in 1903 for the children of Wigginton and remained in use as a school until 1973 when the Wigginton Primary School was opened. The Building was later acquired by Wigginton Parish Council and has been used for local activity group hire since. It is administered by the Old School trustees who are a mixture of Parish Councillors and local residents.
The room hire charges are usually per hour and are kept to a very affordable level.
There are two meeting/activity rooms ground and good ground level disabled access and egress including toilet facilities. The hall provides both upholstered and plain seating and folding tables for adult and children. The car park has wide marked bays and reserved disabled parking.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave oven and water heater for drinks.
The entire hall has sound absorption panels fitted making it ideal for music , singing and dance groups and has full central heating together with LED lighting throughout.
The hall is fully fire protected and covered by full fire and health & safety risk assessments.
